He stressed the importance of personal safety along with the importance of actually preforming cpr on the individual. He was very thorough on demonstrating cpr as well as correcting when one preformed it wrong. I will definitely be coming back for other trainings.

5 starsWhat I have taken away from this class.Be aware… when will it happen. Not that if…it will happen.Communication is important. Express whatever I am doing and whatever I plan to do with the individual I am helping. With patients and with others around.Remember to practice over various steps of the training to stay refreshed.Thank you for the great training.

Logan was very informative and was truly passionate about making us feel confident in case of an emergency. We discussed not only the big details of first aid but even small things such as keeping an open line of communication while caring for a patient. I would definitely recommend him to any person or business.

Training and the real deal is different and the same, as everyone knows. Similarly, an online course and an in-person course and similar, yet vastly different.Today I was shown that in earnest. Our instructor today not only had great energy despite a whole day of teaching, he showed us things that the online course skimped over, he taught us personal safety before saving someone else. He taught us new techniques, and even though we were wrong about a LOT of questions, he clarified and explained everything. If everybody had a teacher like this, just once in their lives, who knows what the world would be like now. To my instructor today, I wish all of the world for you, not only for the passion you have for saving people, but also the dedication, the compassion, and the patience.Thank you for today, and god bless you

This was the first time I had an instructor that was hands on in his training with everyone. He made sure we were all doing it the right way. He also taught us a few new things and how to think in different situations to always be prepared and ready. I say this was the best CPR class I have ever been apart of.

The hands-on practice sessions were particularly beneficial, allowing you to feel confident in your ability to perform CPR effectively if ever needed. Overall, it was a worthwhile investment of my time, equipping me with valuable life-saving skills.

Training Program Overview

Escape:

If it's safe, the most important thing to do in an active shooter scenario is to get out of the danger zone. At 141 Protection Training, we stress being aware of your surroundings and quickly assessing them. People learn to find doors, move quickly and quietly, and make smart choices to avoid the shooter. As part of our training, we also learn how to lead kids or coworkers to safety while reducing risks. People learn how to stay calm under stress, know when it's safe to leave, and avoid making common mistakes. People who take our training learn to be the first line of defense in dangerous situations and act quickly and effectively.

Barricade:

Blocking yourself off in a safe place is very important if you can't get away. People who train at 141 Protection learn to find safe places with strong walls and few windows quickly. Our program teaches people how to strengthen doors to keep people out and silence their phones. Barricades are more than just locks; they're defenses that give you time until the police come. Hands-on activities teach people the courage and skills they need to turn ordinary places into safe places to stay in a disaster. This proactive method ensures that you're not just hiding but also improving your chances of staying alive.

Defend:

Self-defense is the last resort when running away or blocking someone is not a choice. At 141 Protection Training, we teach people how to deal with armed attackers in the worst possible situations. Our training teaches tried-and-true ways to stop attackers in their tracks and keep damage to a minimum. We discuss how to make your guns, keep the shooter busy, and work together to stop the danger. People learn to spot the shooter's weak spots, take advantage of them, and act with determined force when necessary. The "defend" approach gives people the tools to keep themselves and others safe when in danger. By practicing in fake high-stress situations, people gain the confidence and skills they need to act in a way that increases their chances of survival.

More About Active Shooter Training

Response-enhancing drills built around real-world situations

Drills for the Real World:

Active shooter training focused on real-life situations is what we do best at 141 Protection Training. These drills make it seem like a real attack would be unpredictable and chaotic, so trainers must use their skills when stressed. We do our workouts in places like schools, hospitals, and office buildings like real life. These realistic situations help people quickly and accurately decide whether to run away, block off an exit, or protect themselves. By going through these events in a safe setting, people build up the muscle memory they need to handle a crisis well. Our scenario-based method fills in the gaps between theory and practice, ensuring trainees are ready for active shooter events in the real world.

Simulation and Role-Playing:

Live simulations and role-playing are important parts of our Active Shooter training. Participants in 141 Protection Training face "active shooters" and other actors in real-life scenarios. This drill simulates the stress and uncertainty of an attack, forcing trainees to think quickly. People learn how to spot killer behavior, what to do when they hear gunfire, and how to make decisions that could save lives. By modeling an attacker's moves and lack of predictability, role-playing helps students learn. With this hands-on, realistic method, people can practice escape, barrier, and defense skills while facing a real-life scenario's emotional and mental challenges.

Drills for a safe escape:

We do a lot of escape drills as part of our Active Shooter training. We teach people at 141 Protection Training how to find the fastest and best ways to leave a building or place during an attack. The focus of these drills is on looking at the environment, finding doors, and carrying out a well-thought-out escape. People learn to help friends, students, or family without fear. As part of evacuation drills, they practice moving silently and navigating unfamiliar places under pressure. Practicing boosts confidence, lowers injury risks, and improves survival chances in an active shooter situation.

defend:

People learn how to make their environment safer by working together to make things safer, strengthening doors, and blocking exits with furniture. Our realistic situations include last-ditch defenses that teach people how to make their weapons and work together to fight off enemies. These drills also teach you how to hide well, which increases your chances of survival. 141 Protection Training ensures participants are ready for any situation by practicing actual barricades and defense scenarios.

Top Reasons to Choose 141 Protection Training

Awareness of the Situation:

141 Protection Training's Active Shooter training makes you more aware of your surroundings. Taking part teaches people to look around, spot dangers, and spot signs of dangerous behavior. After this training, people can better prepare for and react to events involving active shooters. We teach our trainees to stay alert and find doors, obstacles, and safe zones in any setting. This increased knowledge helps when there is an active shooter and makes people better prepared for all situations. In a crisis, people can act quickly and lower their risks by becoming more aware of their surroundings.

Crisis Response: Trust:

We help people at 141 Protection Training gain the confidence they need to deal with tough conditions. Realistic drills and hands-on training are the best ways to fully understand how to respond to an active shooter. Experiential learning helps people overcome their fears and doubts, allowing them to act quickly and effectively. In life-or-death situations, having faith in your ability to handle a problem can make all the difference. When our trainees leave, they know they can stay calm, make smart choices, and keep themselves and others safe. People can handle many problems at home and work with this confidence.

Tips and tricks for saving lives:

The main goal of Active Shooter training at 141 Protection Training is to teach people useful, life-saving skills. Active shooter situations teach people how to escape, barricade, and use last-resort defense to stay safe. Through hands-on activities, trainees can see how to use these real-life skills. Those who complete the training will know how to protect themselves and others. This training is an important investment in your safety because quick, precise action can save lives.

Working together with the authorities:

Active Shooter training at 141 Protection Training also emphasizes working with police during and after an event. It teaches people how to speak, follow police orders, and describe where and what a shooter is doing. Participants should keep calm and follow the first responders' instructions. If they know how to work with law officials, they can better protect themselves and help with response efforts. Working together cuts down on chaos, speeds up responses, and raises the chances of a good result.

Being able to protect:

141 Protection Training's Active Shooter training gives you the skills to protect others. In an active shooting, people learn how to plan and lead others to safety. The classes emphasize leadership and teamwork, teaching students to organize their work and keep things running smoothly. During an active shooter, trained people can give direction and help, making others feel responsible and in control. This information makes people safer and more prepared by ensuring they are ready to protect themselves and others.

Being able to handle stress:

141 Protection Training's Active Shooter training emphasizes how important it is to deal with worry during an active shooter situation. It can mean the difference between life and death to stay calm and think straight. We teach people how to deal with worry, keep their energy in check, and stay focused when things get tough. Our training also discusses dealing with stress and building long-term resilience after these events. People gain mental toughness by training in real-life, high-stress situations.
